How To Find More Storage Space With In Your Home In The UK

Over the years people have started to collect more items than they seem to have space to keep them in. You can easily find more storage space in your home in the UK. In many homes there is always wasted space and the key to finding it is knowing where to look. Here I will open your eyes so that you can clearly see what your missing out on.

Instead of using card board boxes you should try using plastic totes. Plastic totes will stack better and more evenly so that you are not wasting the space above your head. If you can’t expand out you might want to expand up. Plastic tots do not break down the way card board boxes do after long periods or sitting in the same spot so you don’t have to worry about opening a closet door and having everything fall out because a card board box gave out.

One great invention that has been out for quite a few years but never really seemed to take off is shrink bags. Shrink bags come in all shapes and sizes so you can fill them wish anything from out of season clothes to large blankets and comforters. The way a shrink bag works is you take the bag and fill it will items that are not breakable. Mostly cloth items work best. Then you sip the bag, take the hose of your vacuum, place the hose over the hole in the bag and turn the vacuum on. The bag will begin to shrink until all the air is out of it. This will leave you with a flat bag that will easily fit on a shelf. You can stack several bags with a whole wardrobe in them where you originally had a few sweaters.

Storing things under the bed seems to have go out of style over the past few years. Why, I have no idea because to me if your not using the space your just wasting it. In a small home, with a lot of items I have no room for under the bed looks like a great place to store things. You can easily by a few under the bed boxes at your local store for very cheap. These are card board boxes an although I previously state not to use card board boxes under the bed they are great. You wont be using the things under your bed often and they do not need to be stacked so they box will hold up for quite some time.

No matter what your storage issue is, there is an answer to taking back your personal space and stop using it for storage space in your UK home. By opening your eyes and seeing past the “stuff” you have, you will be able to find that all the storage space you need is right in from of you, under your nose or your bed for that matter in your own home in the UK.
